Dr. Amanda Panagakis is a seasoned trial and jury consultant with IMS Legal Strategies. She has spent nearly 20 years guiding attorneys through high‑stakes litigation, offering guidance in jury consulting and research, voir dire strategy, witness preparation, and case analysis. She has consulted on numerous multi‑million‑dollar and high‑profile cases across the country over the course of her career.
Amanda has facilitated and moderated hundreds of focus groups and mock juries, designing research that uncovers juror perceptions, case vulnerabilities, and narrative opportunities. Her work provides attorneys with clear, actionable insights that shape trial strategy from early case assessment through verdict.
Her expertise spans a wide range of legal areas, including wrongful death, personal injury, civil rights, employment law, construction defect, roadway design, intellectual property, insurance disputes, and complex financial litigation. She is known for her ability to translate psychological principles into practical trial applications, helping legal teams refine themes, strengthen witness performance, and connect more effectively with jurors.
In addition to her consulting work, Amanda has held leadership roles in organizational development, diversity and inclusion, and strategic planning. She has served as an in‑house trial consultant for a national law firm and has led initiatives focused on employee engagement, culture, and operational improvement.
She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, as well as a Master’s in Information Systems and an MBA. She is an active member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and the American Psychology-Law Society.
She resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with her spouse of more than 30 years. Amanda and her husband enjoy being empty nesters with their two small dogs. When not traveling, Amanda enjoys hiking, reading, and a good cup of tea.
