Chief Operations Officer Phil Kenney positions IMS for present operational success and for strategic revenue growth in the future. He is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience leading business-critical operations in the financial sector, as well as in a portfolio company environment, and managing worldwide teams responsible for multiple divisions and business units.
Phil leads several teams at IMS with principal responsibility for managing the revenue-generating aspects of the business. He oversees sales and directs a cohesive framework for sales operations, making sure his team of experts can optimally match IMS products and services to the needs of a global and sophisticated client base. Phil also helms the divisions that provide highly customized consulting, research, and expert recruitment services for IMS’ valued clients. Additionally, contracts and corporate technology assets fall within his purview.
A new initiative Phil brought to IMS is the development of a Business Process Management Office. In this role, Phil implements innovative practices that ensure workflow and management processes used throughout IMS are aligned with the company’s high standards for quality and consistency.
As an expert in business process improvement, Phil is continually assessing the services IMS delivers while looking for new ways to anticipate and solve underserved needs through strategic service expansions. Two recent projects include the integration of Litigation Insights and Z-Axis to the IMS portfolio, expanding the company’s already industry-leading capabilities with even more depth in trial strategy and jury consulting, as well as advanced, state-of-the-art visual presentations. In any new acquisition or investment partnership, Phil’s goal is to successfully integrate people, processes, and technology in a way that adds value to existing and future client relationships.
Prior to joining IMS, Phil held several roles with TwentyEighty Inc., including chief compliance officer, chief operating officer at their AchieveGlobal division, and executive vice president of global operations and strategic initiatives for The Miller Heiman Group. Earlier in his career, Phil directed programs and analytics in the Global Marketing Services Division at Franklin Templeton Investments.
Phil is a certified executive leadership coach through John Mattone Global, Inc., and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University at Sacramento and is presently based in Tampa, FL. When not working, Phil enjoys participating in meditation, sports, and outdoor activities along with his wife and two children.
