Alexandra McGarry Williams, PhD, is a senior research manager on the litigation surveys and consumer science team at IMS Legal Strategies. She has extensive experience designing and conducting social science surveys, as well as qualitative research, including studies on sensitive subjects.
Dr. Williams completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the pediatrics department of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her research has focused on voter responses to negative advertising and campaign logos; public health communications; and women in politics. She has contributed to two books and published peer-reviewed research in Political Research Quarterly, the Journal of Political Marketing, and American Politics Research.
Dr. Williams earned her PhD in political science at Arizona State University, with a dissertation on voter perceptions of feminist candidates, and her undergraduate degree in history from Rutgers University. An avid reader, she lives in New Jersey with her beloved dog, Sophie.
