Medical Legal Experts for Colorado Trial Lawyers: CTLA Convention 2026

|

The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) and Colorado Foundation for Justice (CFJ) will host their Convention 2026 in Vail from August 6–8, bringing together Colorado's plaintiff trial bar for three days of CLE programming. This year's sessions cover trial-tested strategies across the case lifecycle, from drafting the complaint and managing protective orders to advanced witness preparation, cross-examination technique, and mastering the opening statement.

Several sessions directly address the case types and courtroom challenges that trial lawyers regularly face. Topics include avoiding pitfalls in brain injury litigation, how document camera technology is reshaping live trial presentation in depositions and remote/on-site proceedings, the use of cell phone data in litigation, and de-biasing juries through an evidence-based lens. An ethics session on AI in legal practice and a broader look at insurance industry trends round out the program alongside the Convention's traditional social events, golf tournament, and silent auction.

Colorado trial lawyers will also have the opportunity to meet with IMS Legal Strategies in person, as we return to Convention 2026 as a sponsor and exhibitor. Representing us at the event are Solution Consultant Shannon Rustad and Senior Life Care Planning Expert Kristy Easley, MA, CCC-SLP, CBIS, CLCP.

Plaintiff attorneys handling catastrophic injury cases often turn to IMS Medical Legal Experts, an integrated team spanning life care planning, vocational assessment, economic damages, and medical expert witness services. Together, these disciplines help establish future care needs, lost earning capacity, and the medical evidence behind them in credible, well-documented terms that hold up under scrutiny.
