On May 15, IMS Senior Jury Consulting Advisor Dr. Theodore O. Prosise participated in the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) webinar titled, "If You Are Still Expecting Reptiles, It's Time to Reframe."
The program, led by T. Thomas Singer of Hall & Evans, featured Dr. Prosise alongside Jonathan Franklin of Franklin Law Group. The discussion focused on strategies for combating the plaintiff bar and shaping courtroom arguments.
During the session, Dr. Prosise and Thomas Singer both noted that to secure trial victories, defendants must reframe the facts to ensure that juries perceive the defense's perspective and identify flaws in the plaintiff's arguments. This process should begin early and continue through every stage of the legal process, including writing and responding to discovery, handling pretrial motions, jury selection, opening statements, testimony, and closing arguments.
